Yes. A good chiropractor will take a thorough history and perform a comprehensive examination to determine the cause of your pain and treat you accordingly.
Most definitely. The Doctor of Chiropractic is specially trained to treat the spine, and especially the neck area.
Yes, a chiropractor would be the appropriate specialist to evaluate your neck pain and make the best case determination of what your needs might be.
My father was a Dentist. Asking "if you should see a Chiropractor for neck pain...posing that question to me (a Chiropractor) is like asking: "should I see a Dentist for tooth pain! There is no other profession that does what Chiropractors do (joint re-alignment) just as there is no other profession that does what Dentists do (ie an Orthodontist would re-align your teeth)! So to make a long answer a little shorter, the answer is YES! Disclaimer: There are about 20 different Chiropractic "techniques" therefore "all Chiropractors are Not created equal"!
Absolutely. Chiropractic treatment is extremely effective for most causes of neck pain. Check reviews and find a good one.

It is a safe and non-invasive approach to some pain relief. Let the Chiropractor know exactly what happened. If there was some trauma, auto accident or if it simply an acute subluxation. A thorough physical examination before an adjustment is recommended.
Chiropractic is very safe and effective for neck pain. You should definitely go to a chiropractor if you are having pain issues. The chiropractor will take a history and do an exam and then adjust your neck to remove pressure on the nerves that are causing the pain. Most likely you will have very quick improvement and the chiropractor may advise follow up treatments as well.
Yes you should. Chiropractors are Spine specialists who are trained to look for the cause of the pain and correct it. Neck pain is usually caused from joint dysfunction. I personally take motion xrays of the spine to show exactly where the improper joint function may be and this makes it easy for the patient to see.
