Should I whiten my teeth before bonding?

I am a 53 year old male. I want to know if I should whiten my teeth before bonding?

Yes you should. If you whiten after the composite shade they select for you won’t match anymore.
Hello,

Whitening is usually done prior to doing bondings on the front (anterior) part of the front teeth. This is because bonding material does not whiten as well as teeth do. So the point is to whiten the teeth and then do the bondings to match that shade of white. It is also noteworthy that bonding material does have a habit of picking up more staining than teeth, so they will darken quicker.
Hope this helps.

My best to you!

Whitening or bleaching only works on natural tooth surfaces. It does not work on artificial surfaces such as veneers and composite restorations. So, the recommendation is to bleach or whiten the teeth first and then the restorative material shades are matched to the final shade of the rest of the teeth.
Yes. So the dentist can match the bonding to the whitened tooth shade
Yes, so we can match the lighter shade.
Yes. Maybe afterwards, you won't feel compelled to do the bonding, which costs a lot of money but doesn't last long.
Yes definitely!
