Dietitian-Nutritionist Questions Weight loss

What foods should I avoid to lose some weight?

I'm trying hard to lose some weight and it simply doesn't work. I'm 28 and I guess that it should be easier now than when I'm older. Is there any food that I should avoid in order to be able to lose weight?

Avoid fatty foods with trans-fat, junks foods and all processed food.Stay on whole plant based food. The more raw food you eat the better. 75-85 %raw and 15-25% cooked. You start gradually until you reach your goal.
Stay hydrated with water, exercise, sleep at night at 90-10 pm, Get sunlight for vitamin D3, fresh air, manage stress, and trust in Divine power to help reach your goal.
You should avoid sugar and carbohydrates. The excess sugar is the one that is converted to fats and stored . Check your thyroid if this does not work
Most important thing to lose weight is calories in, calories out. I would aim for 1600 calories a day or less. Proteins and fats (as long as they are portioned correctly) can help you feel full. I recommend you look into intermittent fasting. Most common form is 16 hr fast and the other 8 hours you can eat (if you can do this 3-5 times a week you will see results). Another way to look at it is 2 meals a day. Also, avoiding eating 1 hour before bed, and to help curb your appetite, drink water if you feel hungry or tired before going for food.
Mostly you need to change the way you view food. Food is most often consumed based on feeling or mood, decided likes and dislikes. You need to get to the place where you view food as fuel and oil to keep your human "car" running. If you put sand in your engine, water in your gas tank and bubble gum in your radiator, how can you expect your engine to run? Consider this as a starting point. Berries and grapes for breakfast. Pasta, rice or potatoes for lunch with olives, olive oil, vegetables and nuts. Then meat or protein of some sort, can be spinach, with vegetables for dinner. Eliminate all flour products, all deep fried products, all products containing yeast and all refined sugar products.
Foods high in complex and simple carbohydrates should be kept at a minimum. A diet high in fruits and vegetables with the daily requirement of protein, along with daily exercise, normally yields good results.
Weight loss has to be a very individualized process to be successful. But if you want a simple answer: wheat. But not just bread, everything that has wheat. Check out the book Wheat Belly by Dr William Davis.

Avoid and/or eliminate all processed foods, sodas and diet sodas. The simple answer to reduce weight is 1) eat more holistic (whole) foods, 2) avoid deli meats and processed foods, 3) drink more pure water (not flavored waters or fruit juices), 4) eat mostly a plant based diet, not too much, 5) get adequate sleep, 6) eliminate breads, and simple carbohydrates. Avocados, apples and berries (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc) are excellent. Steel cut oat meal (NOT the instant or quick cooking oatmeal) are great for reducing weight. These are just a few suggestions.
