There are many chemicals used for chemical peeling and there are three main types of peels: superfical, medium and deep peels--each with different uses and purposes. Chemical peels can be used to treat acne and rosacea, to freshen the face and make it more glowing, to treat precancers and skin cancers, fade brown spots and melasma, treat wrinkles and tighten the skin. At age 29, you most likely would need it for freshening and brightening the skin or for skin coloration issues. But, naturally, you would first need to be evaluated for any conditions you have and whether chemical peels would even be appropriate for those conditions.
