If you are experiencing shoulder pain(s) that do not subside within a 4 to 7 day period, and especially if accompanied by loss of function and/or loss of "normal" range of accompanied by severe pain ... then you should definitely look into having a professional assess those issues, for guidance towards a remedy. Like most health issues ... early detection and early correction is always the preferred course of action!

If it has been continuous, it should be checked soon. Several things can cause shoulder pain. Nerve irritation from the neck, small rotator cuff tear, fixation of the shoulder blade, or an underlying heart condition.

If the pain doesn’t go away within a week, I would definitely get it checked out right away.

It is always a good idea to get pain checked immediately. Pain is usually the last sign to arrive to tell us that something is dysfunctional. I recommend going to a Chiropractor or Physical Therapist as soon as possible.
