Jessica Newman is an acupuncturist practicing in Long Beach, California. Dr. Newman evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of oriental medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a patient history and looking at and touching the body. Then, they place very fine acupuncture needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these points and nerves is how Dr. Newman treats the patients condition. Many of the body's systems respond to acupuncture, and it can treat physical pain as well as emotional stress.

How do you know if acupuncture is working?
Hi there! Whilst acupuncture and all holistic therapies can feel like almost intangible results to some, or even get a bit worse before getting better, about 91% of my patients feel results within the very first treatment. Some feel tickling or itchiness (meaning the qi or energy is starting to flow better). Some feel super relaxed, kind of like a feeling of a high. Others just notice their pain lightens and softens, or even a combination of all of the above! It’s really important to have a connection to your practitioner. Their energy matters for your results to be optimal! Most all of my patients would experience results within the first two or three sessions who’d not from the first. Try this #1 back pain stretch to find relief fast, and, please God, may you find improvement with acupuncture soon! https://youtu.be/KYVqtcd7rW8 READ MORE
Can acupuncture help you to stop smoking?
In recent studies, acupuncture has been shown to be an effective tool for smoking cessation* There is a special program in Chinese medicine to quit smoking. However, first requirement is, you have to really really want to quit smoking! Second requirement is determination, willpower, and consistency. Third is follow through. It would involve coming every day for weeks for treatments. It would also involve commitment to coming several times a week for several weeks to handle the powerful cravings cigarette addiction produces. The total plan in all can last 6-9 weeks. But yes, it has a huge impact and a high success rate of around 90%! May you be blessed with strength in improving your health and life and laying cigarette addiction to rest! *https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6662782/ READ MORE

Is acupuncture a permanent cure?
I think it’s difficult to work with absolutes with anything. Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine seek to restore balance while addressing the root cause of the problem, instead of just the symptoms resulting from that root cause. In the process of so doing, with consistency, appropriate lifestyle changes, and or perhaps the assistance of Chinese herbal medicine, a change in body balance toward optimal wellness is possible. The duration of which is dependent upon patient’s consistency of follow through. For further answers on how to address this balance, refer to newmansacupilates.wordpress.com READ MORE

After a bit, you should soon be able to reduce treatment needs gradually. All the best for your health and success. READ MORE
