Trigger point steroid injection

Do I need to go to the ER for ankle swelling?

You can go to your podiatrist to have it x-rayed. No need to go to an ER.

Broken toe?

You need to have it x-rayed and then most likely offload with a CAM walker.

My ankles are swollen?

Not necessarily. It could be the result of fluid retention, injury, or arthritis. Please see a podiatrist for further evaluation.

How can I treat swollen ankle?

(RICE) Rest, ice, compress, and elevate

Can you fix the nerve damage in the foot?

Yes. A full work up will be needed to determine if the damage is due to nerve compression. If that is the case, then a nerve decompression surgery can be done.

How long does nerve damage from local anesthesia last?

The effect wears off once the local anesthetic has been metabolized.

When should I be concerned about swollen ankles?

Yes you should see a doctor. The source of swelling could be trauma, infection, or fluid retention.

Foot infections?

It appears like you have plantar's warts. They can be treated topically or with laser or excision.

Sprained ankle?

Based on the severity of your pain and inability to weight bear, it is possible you might have torn one of your lateral ankle ligaments. I recommend an MRI.

Rolled my ankle?

I would recommend you get an x-ray to rule out bone involvement. Once you have ruled out a fracture, then you can use an over the counter ankle brace for a few weeks.

Is my foot broken?

Impossible to tell without an x-ray.

Toe question?

An x-ray will need to be taken to further evaluate. If the growth is a spur, it can be respected.

Is this just a bruise or something more on my toenail?

It most likely is a subungual hematoma (dried blood under the nail). If it doesn't advance with nail growth, then a nail biopsy needs to be performed to r/u a melanoma.

Injured toenail?

I would have it removed at the podiatrist office to prevent a traumatic wound and possible infection

What helps swollen ankles after working out?

Elevation and compression stockings.
