Barring any traumas, the most common are what's called muscles imbalances. The involved muscles for the pelvic area are usually the glut medius, psoas, and the piriformis. Once you get tested for these muscle imbalances, your doctor of chiropractic can give you exercise prescriptions to address the affected areas.
