It depends on the situation and the type of hearing loss. Typically, nerve-related hearing loss is permanent; however, there are instances, such as sudden onset sensorineural hearing loss for example, in which early treatment sometimes can reverse the hearing loss to a degree.
Usually yes unfortunately
That depends on the type of hearing loss and the cause. You need a proper evaluation from a Doctor of Audiology to answer your question
Hello!

It depends on the hearing damage. If there was damage to the ear drum or middle ear bones, sometimes the ear can recover or with corrective surgical intervention from an ENT, things can improve. Hearing loss that is nerve damage related, as far as we and all the medical journals know, that kind of hearing loss does not get better as we are born with only a certain amount of cells in our inner ear that are designed for hearing.
It depends on the cause and if the damaging factor is a single event or recurrent. Noise exposure, for example, may cause temporary damage that heals within 72 hours, but if it's repetitive without hearing protection, it is more likely to cause permanent damage. If you're concerned, obtain a baseline hearing test.
