Pill possibly stuck in throat?

I swallowed a prescription pill 30 minutes ago, but it may possibly be stuck in my throat. I have an odd sensation above Adam's apple. I have drank a lot of water. The sensation is still there.

It is very VERY uncommon for the pill or anything to actually be stuck in the throat, though it feels that way. Typically the pill or large piece of food simply irritates the mucosa passing through the top of the esophagus. The irritated are is swollen and feels weird. Its ok. Pills are made to dissolve. Even if it is there, it won't be for long.
Drink some warmer water it will dissolve eventually.

Hello. Do you still have the sensation of the pill in your throat?
What I've seen most commonly in this situation is that a pill, or other object, gets lodged in the throat temporarily. It eventually goes down, but patients are left with the sensation that something is still stuck. From my experience, the more traumatic the episode (larger items, violent choking, etc), the longer that sensation persists. It almost always resolves in a couple days; though I've seen longer in severe choking episodes.

Stay on a soft diet, continue your acid reflux management, and see and ENT doctor if this last longer than 72 hours.
Please go to the Emergency Room as soon as possible if you feel it's stuck.
