After cycle one, I always change IV Rituxan to the SQ version Hycella which takes a matter of minutes to give. This is an outpatient protocol and in most instances, I give growth factor support with long-acting G-CSF which prevents dangerous decreases in the white blood cell count.

The response of the bone marrow is to make excess red blood cells. This is referred to as Secondary Erythrocytosis. The best advice is to consult with a Hematologist and to discontinue cigarette smoking all together.
