Do an experiment:
Open wide and close into your normal bite several times. Is there pain, joint noise, other? Now do the same thing, except close so that you are closing with the biting edges of your front teeth touching. Is there any difference in comfort in the 2 jaw positions? If it is more comfortable in the “biting edge against biting edge,” see your dentist. Ask him to make an appliance designed to treat OSA for you. It will support your jaw more forward in the biting edge even with biting edge position. There will be a space between the teeth. They will not touch. This appliance is to treat your joints, not to treat OSA. Wear it all night every night. Allow your jaw 30 minutes to readjust after taking it out before trying to close your teeth together. Your chewing symptoms will decrease with time as your joints heal. You may get a better sleep as well. You may need additional treatment depending on results.

Normal or near normal. Eating with something different is an adjustment even if things are better.

Go to an emergency room or urgent care center. Either can provide antibiotics and pain medication.

First you want to maintain and protect the current state of your teeth. Toothpastes that “whiten” do so by removing discolorations that are ON the tooth. That means they have to have stronger abrasive to do so. They do not change the “whiteness” of the tooth itself. Toothpaste that “whitens” is not what you are looking for. Other toothpastes have abrasives as well. It is impossible to know how abrasive they are. Read the labels of toothpastes with tastes you like to decide. You definitely want toothpaste with fluoride.
Dipping your brush into baking soda and salt in the palm of your hand remains an excellent choice. It may be the least abrasive. You will receive no fluoride protection from this however. You could alternate if you want.
There are some toothpastes sold only to dentists that may be the closest to what you are after. They have claims of improving the teeth as well as protecting them. Talk to your dentist for more information on this.

Sorry about your pain. That can be miserable. The answer to your first question is “no.” Second question: Locating an unknown source of dental pain is a very difficult task. An upper tooth can feel like it is on the lower, as well as the opposite. A tooth with a crack within the root can be difficult to locate. Some muscles with problems can feel like a toothache instead of a painful muscle.
Good luck in your search. A dentist that accepts insurance may not be able to spend the time necessary to find the problem for what insurance will allow.

Probably. Brush your tongue firmly often. Better yet, stop smoking for one month. If no results from above, see your dentist right away.

Trauma to the soft tissue inside the mouth can leave that area susceptible to getting a canker sore. An erupting wisdom tooth could do this. The area you think is a canker sore could be one of several other things as well. Your best answer would be from a dentist who has examined the area. Sounds like it needs attention right away to prevent possible bigger problems.

I will assume you have wisdom teeth that are only partially erupted into the mouth. The following answer could be wrong if there is some other reason for your pain.
Partially erupted wisdom teeth will have some gum covering part of the tooth. Food debris and bacteria can collect under this gum and cause a painful infection.
Cleaning the debris from under the gum will help some, but can be painful due to the swelling from the infection. The area is difficult to reach. You may have some success using a water pick type instrument to flush water in the area under the gum. Hydrogen peroxide swished in the area can sometimes bubble stuff out.
A trip to the emergency room for antibiotics can help with the infection.
An advantage of being an established patient of a dentist is that you can call him for an antibiotic prescription.
It can get really bad fast sometimes. The sooner you get to a dentist, the better. Make it a priority.

Assistance from your dentist will help solve your question. There is a long list of possible causes. Here are some to consider:

-Large tonsils with crypts.
-Sinus problems.
-Plaque between the teeth that needs to be flossed away. (Scrub up and down with floss on each in between surface without harming the gum. Think of scrubbing a dirty plate.)
-Calculus (tarter) on the teeth that needs to be cleaned off. (It can be under the gum and not visible to you.)
-Dental decay. (It can be in an area you cannot see.)
-An infected (abscessed) tooth with or without pain.
-A gum pocket between the teeth collecting and holding debris.
-A gum pocket behind the back tooth where a wisdom tooth is impacted.
-Debris imbedded in the roughness of the top tongue surface. Yes, your tongue needs to be brushed.
-A general disease producing odors that are escaping though your lungs.

The list could go on. You will find the cause easier with professional help as many of these cannot be determined by you. If no cause can be found, a mouth rinse containing chlorine dioxide may help.

You have recently had treatment for gum disease
You are using a strong bleaching solution to whiten your teeth

You state "often" complains. This is most unusual. Healthy teeth do not "often" cause toothaches. I do not recommend a home remedy for this. Take your son immediately to your dentist for treatment. The toothaches your son is suffering from will only get worse. Do not delay.

Teeth need to be cleaned 360 degrees around every tooth at least once a day.
Bacteria between teeth can cause dental decay between the teeth, gum disease, bone loss, and foul odor among other things.
Do yourself and other around your a favor. Clean 360 degrees around every tooth at least once every day.

Some sensitivity is within normal limits. It may go away with time. The best answer to your question will come from your orthodontist.

It is not unusal for a removeable oral appliance of any type to develop a mild odor. Every item you wear does this: socks, shoes, shirts, etc.
It would be unusal for you to be able to floss the teeth on a removeable denture.
You may not be able to 100% prevent it.
Usually it can be maintained to an acceptable level by regular soaking. You can obtain a tablet or powder from your pharmacy dental section to add to just enough water to cover your oral appliance.
If your appliance is old and worn out, you may need a new one.
Have your dentist examine your appliance and offer his suggestions. That is your best source of information.

When you say, "How should I get them a year?" it makes me think you are receiving your whitenings at the dental office. Have your dentist construct bleaching trays for you. You can purchase gel to put in them. Some gel is intended to be worn in the trays over your teeth for ten minutes or so. Other gels are for overnight or so. Work with your dentist on which would be best for you.This way you can whiten you teeth as often as you like. There have been people with very severe natural stains from birth that have used mild whitening every night for a year or so with no known harm. The stronger gels can cause some problems used this much. Again, your dentist can help you select what is best for your needs. DO NOT get these trays or gel from a source other than a dental office.

Teeth are different than many other tissues in the body. It is unable to heal when it has an infection (cavity).
