If the hip MRI is normal, then you need further evaluation like for the spine or pelvic area. Sometimes if the MRI is normal and spine and other causes of pain have been ruled out, your doctor might order an MRI with dye. If MRI is normal then I would not suggest any hip arthroscopy. Diagnostic lidocaine injection in hip joint is important to determine if the source of pain is hip joint or extraarticular like spine or torch bursitis. I hope it is helpful. Thanks
