The bone will remodel for close to a year after a foot fracture. So, it can take a year to fully heal. In general for a healthy individual, you can generally bear weight on a fractured foot after six weeks.
A foot fracture can take 4-8 weeks to heal. There are several factors that affect bone healing. Please consult a physician for the proper management of your fracture as an improperly treated fracture can several complications that may not present immediately.
With proper protection, most foot fractures in your age group will be mostly healed at 6 weeks and fully healed at 3 months. A fracture that doesn’t heal after 3 months is considered a delayed union and a fracture that doesn’t heal in 6 months is not likely to heal.

Several factors affect bone healing, i.e. as general health, autoimmune diseases, chronic diseases being treated for, ex. osteoporosis, Diabetes, and others. However, in general, fractures take 6-8 weeks to heal. A diet of good protein will speed up recovery.
Age and a compromised immune system can delay healing. Also Diabetes, especially if uncontrolled, will slow the bone healing process. In general fractures heal in 6-8 weeks.
The average foot fracture healing time is 6-8 weeks. Healing time may take longer or be complicated if a patient is too active on the fractured foot, is a smoker, or has certain health conditions such as diabetes.
Most bones usually takes 4-6 weeks to heal. Some fractures heal slower, though, depending on where they are located and the type of fracture that occurred. Nutritional health can be an important factor as well.

Fracture healing time can vary according to the location of the fracture, severity of the fracture, displacement of the fracture and associated injuries. Some fractures are not due to one traumatic injury but due to repeated injuries on the bone and are called stress fractures which may need to be treated differently from the usual fracture. It is best to be evaluated by your orthopedic surgeon to determine which treatment is best to provide the quickest recovery for you.
