Think of running like being a baseball pitcher. You wouldn't tell a baseball pitcher to throw a ball 100x a day at a 100MPH and not expect the pitcher to get hurt. The pitcher needs to be strong, mobile, good endurance, etc to be able to pitch. Same goes for a runner.....just running is not a great idea
