After 24 hours, use a soft toothbrush with little or no toothpaste, keep the area clean. Do not eat hard or irritating food like spicy salsa or acidic food. No lemon or tomatoes. Make sure you eat protein (eggs, chicken, fish). Many times, a pain medication is indicated. Ice pack in the area is a good idea (4 minutes every half hour). Make sure you check allergies before you take any medication.
