Why am I having chest pains?

There are many causes of chest pain. It’s best to get an ekg and workup by a cardiologist.

Platelets

The right side of my chest is hurting

Chest pain is always concerning. I’d recommend evaluation with an ekg at minimum

cardiac work up

That’s great news as it means you have no significant blockages in your blood vessels of the heart

What is pleural effusion? And how it is related to my case?

Without more information just based on your history of MI I’d be concerned for heart failure and recurrent or worsened coronary artery disease. You need a full cardiac workup including READ MORE

Will likely also require diuretics to remove the fluid from your lungs
Best of luck and wishing you good health

The swelling is also concerning for exacerbation of your heart failure. All needs to be checked.
Either see your doctor or go to ER

Sorry, you are experiencing this. Sounds scary. I would recommend a cardiac eval (hard to do here without a proper exam) for further workup. Would also consider a rheumatology workup for possible raynauds which can cause color change ( would see a clear line of demarcation when cold)…can Google pics to see if that’s what you are experiencing. Good luck!

There are many causes of pleural effusions
Typically if related to the heart it would be bilateral (in both lungs)
If oj one side and in the setting of recent infection, it may be related to that and typically will resolved on its own

I’d follow up with your doctor so they can follow you for symptom management and determine if any further workup is needed

I’d recommend seeing a cardiologist for an ekg and Holter monitor do they can further evaluate the cause

I’d also try stopping magnesium and see if your symptoms resolve.

Typically a bicuspid aortic valve in a younger person will lead to aortic regurgitation (leakiness of the aortic valve) which can be categorized by severity (mild, moderate or severe). Sometimes an echo can miss things depending on the technician and the angles obtained (remember it’s a 2D image of a 3D structure). I’d consult with your cardiologist and review the images with them and discuss next steps.

Hi. So your doctor was right, this is not yet considered high blood pressure (140/90 or higher). It is also very common for a persons blood pressure reading to be highest when they come to the doctor (we call this “white coat hypertension”).

Home measurement is helpful to get a sense of what your pressure is under less stressful situations.

When checking, first empty your bladder.
Sit relaxed, feet flat on the ground. Arm on the table and check

You can always bring your readings and your cuff with you on your next visit to review with your doctor.

Hi. So palpitations are your sense of your heart beating fast or irregular
The Holter monitor serves to verify whether your symptoms correspond with an abnormal heart rhythm
Per the monitor you had nothing significant
However if you had no symptoms while the monitor it may have been something, possibly related to caffeine if the symptoms resolved with cessation of caffeine

You should based on this be ae to resume caffeine but speak to your doctor and listen to your body. If they give you the go ahead and symptoms return then there is a correlation.
