Mixing Covid vaccines is not officially advised or approved, but there is no published evidence hat it is harmful. Quite the contrary, there is accumulating evidence that mixing vaccines may give an enhanced and broader and longer lasting immune response. There is no problem with any of the Covid vaccines and medications which people are often taking other immune suppressive medications. Such latter medication may interfere with a full immune response to any vaccine. Ask your physician if any of your medications might suppress your immune system.

Yes, you can get Covid again, but it is very rare. Recall that the vaccines are > 90%-95 % effective. That means 5%-10% of vaccines can be infected. Most of these breakthrough infections have no or very mild symptoms and almost never are sick enough to need medical care. Pregnancy is a special case in that immunity in pregnancy is naturally not as strong. Follow the older guidelines just to be safer while pregnant, e.g., mask and avoiding others who have not been vaccinated.

This question has no correct answer. There is no data. We do not have the Astra Zeneca vaccine in the US, so this is not an option. I believe it is safe for her to get a third vaccine dose at least 2-3 months after her second AZ vaccine. I would favor the Pfizer option, but any of three vaccines available in the US should meet her needs.

The vaccines were individually designed and created by separate independent teams of scientists. The differences are just due to random chance, but both vaccines appear to be equally safe and effective. There are reports of slightly higher rates of post-vaccine aches and pains after the Moderna vaccine's second dose. However, there have not been direct face-face comparison trials, so this observation has not been scientifically proven. There are suggestions that the Moderna vaccine may be “stronger,” but again, no real evidence to that assertion.
They're both excellent vaccines.

If you have been fully vaccinated, weekly retesting by NP PCR is not needed, especially if you are wearing a mask, which I agree with.
