Naturopath Questions Naturopathic Medicine

I want to try a natural medical treatment, should I see a naturopath physician?

I am a 34-year-old female who has many medical conditions but wants to deal with them in a more natural way. Should I see a naturopath physician for this avenue of medicine?

Hi, yes, naturopathic doctors are experts in natural therapies and in addressing the root cause of issues.
While everyone can benefit from having a Naturopath as a part of their care team, I often find that those who have a lot of different things going on often benefit the most from making a Naturopath their PCP.

In most cases, not always, but in most cases all those medical conditions may actually be a symptom of one condition (aka the root cause). Naturopaths are experts at identifying and treating the root cause, and when you identify and treat the root cause, the other issues/symptoms start to get better.

It's like when there's a leak and instead of fixing the leak you just keep going after the water trying to soak it up, you'll never get it all and more will just keep coming until you fix the leak.
Yes! A naturopathic physician can work with you to look at the whole picture and come up with a best holistic treatment plan. A lot of underling conditions are connected if you look at the root of the disease. The wonderful thing about working with a naturopathic physician is that they are trained in both conventional and natural treatments and can give you some guidance on what is best to treat naturally and what might be some conventional medicine options. If you want more information take a look at my website: schauernd.com.
Naturopaths are trained as primary care providers and are licensed is over half the stated. It would be highly recommended to find a Naturopath that has credentials and the training and not someone without licensing. Holistic medicine is a great tool for overall health!
Hello! Yes, naturopathic medicine would be a great way to get going on a natural approach to your healing. If you don't have a naturopath in your area, another option to look into would be an acupuncturist who also works often with Chinese herbs. That could also be another good avenue to natural healing for many health conditions.
Hi there.
If you are interested in natural medicine, a Naturopathic Medical Doctor is
a good and appropriate first step for doing so. You want to make sure your
choice is a board certified and licensed practitioner ( as I am),
because there are still many naturopaths who are not Naturopathic
Physicians.
That said, let me know if I can be of more help.
Thank you.

Naturopathic Doctors are trained in primary care and natural /integrative care. We often look for the root cause of complex issues through comprehensive testing and history taking. Treatments can include both conventional and/or natural therapies. Best of luck.
Natural medicines are always the primary way of approach.

Absolutely! That is exactly the best reason to see one.
Yes a Naturopath can provide support for most all chronic conditions.
Yep! Sounds like the right choice.
Yes you should try your own ability to treat it naturally.

Before the start of the 1900's Natural Medicine like Medical Medicine were wildly used.

The AMA was created to unite the Medical Doctors. In time as some of the Medical Doctors also retired from their practices and they went into politics. The AMA came into power because of the now former practicing Doctors gave the clout to the AMA to directly form up to oppose the Natiral Health Docors.

It is nteresting point out that all the early medications we're based on Natural derived remedies.

Pharmaceutical medicine was created to create a synthetic copy of the original natural medicine treatments, they thought they could get the same results with their man-made drugs as the Natural remedies. They were wrong. Our bodies knows the difference between Natural Nature created remedies and the Mam-made chemical Drugs.

Over time as the Big Pharma, created more drugs and most of the positive working Medication was due to the Natural treatments held within them.

Just so you know, natural treatments are more safe then the Medical treatments, however I chose to treat Naturally first and if that doesn't work you can use the medical treatments. Now having said this, natural treatments on the most part are many times more safe than any man-made chemical Drug.
If you are looking for a natural approach I would highly recommend seeking out a naturopathic physician for your health. With naturopathic physician you have the benefit of a doctor who knows both the natural and conventional treatment options.
Yes. The Naturopathic or Holistic physician can guide you on the dietary interventions and any supplementary needs, with the added and needed education to assist your journey. The education, in my opinion, is key here. Giving the individual more of an understanding, helping them to stick to the behavioral modifications which can help them within their journey.
If your aim is a more natural route, definitely see a naturopathic physician. Just make sure that that person has graduated from an accredited naturopathic college/university as there are people who claim to be "naturopathic" because they took a quick course on it.
You could and as long as you make sure the physician has gone through an accredited Naturopathic Medical School. That is the important part.
