Ramona Whan, L.AC.

Acupuncturist

Ramona M. Whan, L.AC., MSTOM, is an acupuncturist practicing in Wildomar, CA. Ramona evaluates and treats patients based on the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncturists complete their evaluations by getting a full patient history, asking questions about the presenting issue, completing a short Western medical exam, and looking at the patient's tongue, taking their pulse, and then palpating the body. An acupuncturist then places very fine needles into specific points on the body. Stimulating these points and obtaining Qi is how Ramona treats the patient's condition. In other words, the needles stimulate the brain to send energy to and through the points that have been needled which promotes wellness and balance in the patient's body and mind. Acupuncture can treat physical pain, emotional stress, dysmenorrhea, menopause symptoms, headache, male sexual dysfunction, obesity, arthritis, and many other health concerns.

Ramona enjoys treating patients from her home clinic where she is happy to see one patient at a time. Ramona accepts Triwest health insurance for Veterans and can bill out of network for some United Health Care patients. Most patients are happy to pay out-of-pocket prices and make use of the money-saving packages that are offered. Ramona has continued her education by attending Acupunctural Facial Rejuvenation classes, Five Element classes, and most recently Medical Qigong classes. She practices a gentle needling technique and encourages the consumption of healing foods, and ancient Chinese movement exercises as a part of her wellness practice. She also enjoys providing holistic Chinese herbal formulas to promote wellness in her patients.

In her spare time, Ramona enjoys hiking and camping with family and Boy Scouts of America. She tutors grade school children in reading and math with Professional Tutors of America. Also, she organizes the volunteers for the nursery at her local church. It is her privilege and honor to use her God-given talents to serve her community, and promote holistic wellness wherever she goes. Ramona's blog will be about acupuncture and her areas of expertise, and sometimes about her spare-time hobbies.
