Imagine if your car was out of alignment. It places great stress on the ball joints and tires causing premature wear. A similar situation occurs with hip misalignment or subluxation. It places stress on the sacroiliac joints, the actual ball and socket hip joints and since the pelvis is the foundation of your spine, the spinal joints. A short leg can result which then causes even more stress on these areas as well as the knees and ankles. So the hips are very important to the structure of the body. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE

Hmmm. I need much more information. It depends on the cause. There are certain causes of lower back pain such as muscle strains or ligament sprains that can be fixed and there are causes such as disc problems that are not necessarily corrected but can be managed so that a person can lead a fairly normal life. This is why diagnosis is most important and the worst things you can do is take pain meds to cover up the pain or go to a massage therapist who doesnt diagnose or any doctor who doesnt seek the cause of your pain and either writes a prescription or lies you down a table to perform a procedure without understanding the cause. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Jay H.
